Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is a famous American woman who is a businesswoman. She is the President and owner-controller of the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. The California born Buss was raised in an extremely wealthy family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty business tycoon after which he later became the owner of the Lakers. After her parents split up in 1972 she felt that they'd abandoned her. When she was 19, she began working within the family's company. Then she founded the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. She was president of the Great Western Forum, before becoming Vice President for the Lakers. Her father passed away in 2013, and his control over ownership for the Lakers was transferred to Buss as well as her siblings by a trust of the family which gave each sibling equal voting rights. she assumed the duties as president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also a co-owner of Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion headquartered within Los Angeles.
